Safety is paramount
The safety of our employees and our client’s employees is of utmost importance, in fact it is our highest priority in everything we do. Our procedures have been developed to enable us to manage Health and Safety to the highest standards. We constantly review our procedures and work proactively with our clients and employees. We are undertaking to achieve accreditation to AS 4801 standard for Safety Management.
An overview of our approach is below
We work hard to assist our clients to maintain their Duty of Care obligations. For example for our customers operating in the Heavy Transport sector, we are aware of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) and the accreditation and compliance aspects of the various codes including:
|1||Chain Of Responsibility (COR)|
|2||Codes of Practice|
|3||Fatigue Management (BFM, AFM)|
|4||Assessing Fitness to Drive|
|5||Work and rest requirements|
|6||Work diaries and record keeping|
|8||National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme|
Whilst Intermodal Staffing is not an Operator (as defined by NHVR), many of our clients are. Our employee safety inductions and other preventative safety inspections and audit procedures have been developed to take into consideration the compliance issues within the Heavy Vehicle Transport sector. We work with our customers so that together we can minimize Health & Safety risks and the risks and compliance involved for a Heavy Vehicle Operator.
